What primary source verification (DataFlow) is

The authorities check your documents with the bodies that issued them. Here is what is checked and where it sits in the process.

What it is

The PQR requires the documents for licensing to be verified directly from the original or primary source. This is primary source verification, or PSV.

On our healthcare licensing page this step is called DataFlow / PSV. The PQR itself does not use the name DataFlow.

What is verified

Your qualification, experience and licence are verified at their source.

You also provide a Good Standing Certificate, issued by the health regulatory authority in the country or countries where you last worked.

Where it sits in the process

It is the second of the five steps on our healthcare licensing page: after the eligibility check and before the exams.

For nurses, midwives and allied health professionals with a valid licence from one of the countries the PQR lists, verification is one of the conditions for being exempted from the required experience.
